We reported this story back in September that West Hollywood would possibly go fur free – taking a stand for animal rights over fashion and banning any clothing made from the skin or pelt of animals with hair, wool or fur.
The West Hollywood City Council tentatively approved a modified version of the ban on Monday but a second and final vote must be taken for the ordinance to pass. The final decision could come on Nov. 21 but the city also wants to study the potential impact of a ban and it wouldn’t take effect until 2013.
